Charity Grants for Foreclosure Prevention

broken image

Based in Illinois and with offices in several other states in the United States, Codilis & Associates provides legal services to businesses and individuals in a wide range of practice areas. Codilis and Associates also participates in philanthropic activities like making donations to help with mortgage payments to prevent foreclosure.

Foreclosures are often avoidable. A homeowner may fail to make mortgage payments due to various financial strains. For example, they may be involved in an accident or fall ill and incur heavy hospital bills. They may conduct a fundraiser to help them pay the mortgage. Yet, most often than not, these fundraisers have low chances of success.

However, every year various non-profit and charitable organizations make donations to offer financial assistance to mortgage payers. Grant beneficiaries can receive up to $3,000 in monthly payments, with a total benefit limit of $54,000 over 18 months. By acquiring these donations and making regular mortgage payments, homeowners can prevent foreclosure and qualify for a modification program.
