Based in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Codilis and Associates is a law firm established in 1977 to provide legal services to clients working in the real estate business. In addition to its work in the law and as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Codilis & Associates is committed to giving back to society through charitable programs like Lawyers Feeding Illinois.
Lawyers Feeding Illinois (LFI) was an Illinois-wide fundraising and cuisine competition for attorneys and legal organizations. The campaign backed the Feeding Illinois program. Feeding Illinois refers to an association of eight Feeding America food banks that seek to provide healthy meals to children living in hunger.
The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) created one such CSR initiative. The ISBA made over 4.6 million meals available throughout the campaign, exceeding its target of 1 million meals provided by lawyer groups and over 2,000 contributors.
Judges and lawyers in Illinois set up collection bins for non-perishable food products in courthouses around the state. The ISBA and the and Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund made additional contributions to the project, and several regional, ethnic, and specialized bar associations also took part.
