World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Program

To make a positive impact in the community and the world, Codilis & Associates and its employees contribute to charities assisting underserved populations. Groups that Codilis and Associates supports include the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Hope for Cambodia, and World Vision.

Founded in 1950, World Vision puts Christian values into action by creating community programs in the most vulnerable areas or areas with marginalized populations. Its 34,000 staff, working in over 100 countries, give residents the education and tools to help themselves, so World Vision's aid covers a wider population over time. World Vision typically works on a project for between 10 and 15 years.

World Vision's most widely known program is its child sponsorship program. A donor can give the group $39 monthly to fund hygienic, educational, and job training initiatives for that child's community and those in similar circumstances. In return, the sponsor will receive letters and electronic updates from the children and their families. Sponsors can choose a child from a rolling list on World Vision's website or put their name in a pool where children can pick their sponsor.
